What is the TR414 and when should I use it instead of the TR413?
The TR414 uses the same 0.453-inch valve hole as the TR413 but extends to a 2-inch overall length. It is the right choice for deep-drop wheels, low-profile tire applications, and any wheel where the valve hole is recessed deep enough that a standard-length stem would not protrude far enough for a cap or inflation chuck.
What size valve hole does the TR414 fit?
The TR414 fits a 0.453-inch (11.5mm) valve hole at a 2-inch overall length. If your hole is the larger 0.625-inch spec, the TR425 provides the same extended reach for that bore size.
What is the TR414 made of?
EPDM synthetic rubber body conforming to SAE J1205/J1206 standards, with a chrome-plated brass Schrader core pre-installed. EPDM resists ozone, UV, and temperature extremes better than natural rubber.
Can the TR414 be used on TPMS-equipped wheels?
No. TPMS sensors require a dedicated TPMS valve stem. The TR414 is for non-TPMS tubeless wheels only.
How often should valve stems be replaced?
OEM guidelines recommend replacing rubber valve stems every time new tires are mounted. Rubber degrades from ozone exposure, heat cycling, and age, which can cause slow leaks even when the tire itself is fine.
