Does the UVS7060 come pre-programmed?
No. Like all BH Sens Huf IntelliSens universal sensors, the UVS7060 is a blank sensor. It must be configured using a compatible TPMS diagnostic tool (such as those from ATEQ) to "flash" the specific vehicle protocol onto the sensor before installation. For the metal "Clamp-In" version, the union nut should be tightened to 4 Nm (approx. 35 in-lbs). Over-tightening can damage the grommet or the sensor housing, while under-tightening may lead to slow air leaks.
Can I use the UVS7060 to "clone" my existing sensors?
Yes. The UVS7060 supports "Copy ID" or "Cloning" functionality. If your tool can read the ID from your old sensor, you can program that exact ID onto the UVS7060. This is highly recommended for winter/summer wheel sets because it eliminates the need for the vehicle to "relearn" the new sensors.
